TIF with 2.2 GB and 64 bit

Post by Peter2 »

I have a TIF with 2.2 GB, no compression, 64 bit colours ....

If I drop it to XnConvert it displays the thumbnail, but a conversions (e.g. to 8 colors) brings "keine Bilddatei / No image file". I get the same message in XnView, although the file is TIF (checked by TRiD ..)

Is the file-size the problem for 32 bit program (XnView)? But XnConvert is 64 bit, and it can be displayed with "Windows Image Display" (or Windows Picture Display? - I use the German Windows ..)

I made new files, converted from the same PDF to TIF

Both files: 64 Bit colourdepth, not compressed

File a: 1200 dpi, 1.9 GB, 9383 * 25833 Pixel,

File b: 2400 dpi, 4 GB, ? * ? Pixel,

"MS Paint" shows the same error: "..ca not be read, invalid ..."

Sorry, I was not exactly - I can load File a), but File b) shows the problems (also in Windows - File properties there are no pixel-informations).

Similar problem again ...

XnView 2.40, WIN 10
TIFF, no compression, 2.04 GB (2190650549 Byte), 300 dpi, 24 bit, 2400 * 3500 pixel

-> contains 45 Frames

-> XnView shows only the first frame, no info about other frames, "Save as LZW-tiff" saves only first page
-> XnConvert converts only first frame

-> "Windows Fotoanzeige" (Windows Photo Display?? - I don't know the English name) displays all 45 frames ...

Can I send you a mail with the link to download it?

O.k., thank you, I can also reproduce the problem. Issue 1196 is fixed in next version.
