I think the present situation can be summarised as follows:
o The current location of format settings [only] in Viewer | File > Format settings... is not intuitive and unsatisfactory, it is in effect well-hidden there.
o Adding format settings to the Tools > Options... > Read/Write menu as in XnView Classic is very desirable.
o For practical reasons, it would be desirable also to temporarily maintain the current Viewer | File > Format settings... location as well, if that is possible.
o It remains very desirable to add direct access to format settings from File > Save as... , as is normal in other software, as soon as the previously stated limitation in Qt can be overcome...
