Capture suggestions
With settings of: desktop, F11, hide Xnview, multiple capture,
save to directory, it might be more useful not to bring Xnview
to the foreground each time F11 is pressed.
Generally, would it be better not to bring Xnview to foreground
upon each capture when Xnview has been placed in background?
This would allow capture without interrupting the non-Xnview
program.
Enabling multiple capture option with the timer mode could add
another feature to Xnview.

I'm not sure if lawndart is talking about this but...lawndart wrote:With settings of: desktop, F11, hide Xnview, multiple capture,

If multiple capture is enabled, multiple dialog boxes are shown - I must click to the Cancel button to all of them and then I can edit/save that snapshots. It's quite annoying - especially if there are e.g. 50 snapshots.
Re: Capture suggestions
This bug(?) is still here in v1.80.1.Dreamer wrote:If multiple capture is enabled, multiple dialog boxes are shown - I must click to the Cancel button to all of them and then I can edit/save that snapshots. It's quite annoying - especially if there are e.g. 50 snapshots.
Re: Capture suggestions
Fixed. Multiple captures can be placed in a directory without annoyance.lawndart wrote:With settings of: desktop, F11, hide Xnview, multiple capture,

Yes. Like recording a desktop session. The captures would need to be saved into a directory for this to work well.lawndart wrote: Enabling multiple capture option with the timer mode could add

It is annoying. When multiple tabs are opened, it should not offer to close each one of them.Dreamer wrote: If multiple capture is enabled, multiple dialog boxes are shown - I must click to the Cancel button to all of them and then I can edit/save that snapshots. Re: Capture suggestions
But how can i know if you it's an error or if you don't want to save it????marsh wrote:It is annoying. Re: Capture suggestions
There is no problem. These multiple dialogs only happen when [x] 'Only one view opened' is checked. So, multiple captures or import clipboards ask if you want to save view- as they should.xnview wrote:But how can i know if you it's an error or if you don't want to save it????marsh wrote:It is annoying. Re: Capture suggestions
But it's the same problem, how to know if you want to save last picture or not??marsh wrote:There is no problem. These multiple dialogs only happen when [x] 'Only one view opened' is checked. So, multiple captures or import clipboards ask if you want to save view- as they should.

Re: Capture suggestions
Should it only ask to save when a view/tab is being closed (not switched)?xnview wrote:But it's the same problem, how to know if you want to save last picture or not??marsh wrote:There is no problem. Perhaps it could say: "Do you want to Switch/Keep/Close current view?"- if you choose 'Close', it could bring up the 'Save' Dialog.
More capture recommendations (possible problems):
1. I suggest not using F11 as default capture key. -Since F11 is now used to switch to fullscreen, it is an inefficient choice for multiple captures. I use <shift + F11>.
2. Multiple captures need an off-button. -Right now, the only way to turn feature off is to make a single capture. Not using F11 makes this a smaller problem.

Screen Captures
I have had some trouble using the 'Capture screen' feature in the Tools Menu.
I can only get it to work when I select 'Capture Desktop'. It did work a couple of times using the 'Active Window' options but not now.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled it twice with the same effect.
I am using dual monitors and processors.
