.CR2 files slow selection, do not auto rotate.

Hi,
Ref: Win XP machine:

Canon .CR2 files are painfully slow to Select, and they do not auto-rotate;--- .tif, .psd, etc. work just fine, in both regards.

I confirm this.

And it is not possible to read (or edit) exif or IPT data.
And (I suppose) it is not possible to change anything like the whiteballace etc of the photo?

So I summarize.
It is just possible to view CR2 files and to save them as jpg oder anything else.
That's the maximum we can get, I guess (as Canon uses it#s own secret format, yes?).
