0.84: Last row and column of pixels not shown

Post by helmut »

XnView: MP 0.84
OS: Windows 10 - 64bit

In Viewer when viewing an image the last row of pixels is sometimes not displayed.

Effect: What you see is not what you actually have.

To reproduce:
1. Start XnView browser.
2. Open settings (Tools » Settings)
3. Take a screenshot of the settings dialog using "Alt + Print" keys.
4. Close the settings
5. Insert the clipboard into a new image by pressing "Ctrl + Shift + V".
6. Zoom the image to 400%.
7. Scroll to the bottom of the image.
Actual behaviour (bug): You will see the screenshot but the last row of pixels is missing. :bug: (you can verify this by selecting and area at the bottom and pasting it.)

Expected behaviour: When scrolling all way down one should see the last row of pixels.

Notes:
- The problem is even easier to see when adding a 1 pixel border around the whole image using Canvas resize.
- From what I can see the last column of pixels on the right side is also missing.

Sorry for not responding, Pierre. I somehow missed your post.
  • Download and open template2.gif.
  • Make sure that High quality zoom (ToolsSettings...ViewView) is set to Zoom-out (default) or Never.
  • Scroll to the bottom right corner of the image.
Deactivated “High quality zoom”
Deactivated “High quality zoom”
Activated “High quality zoom”
Activated “High quality zoom”
There are actually two bugs:
  1. The last 2 rows and last 2 columns of pixels are not displayed.
  2. Some lines are thicker than others (3 vs. 2 pixels).

if you don't use high quality, and a zoom factor that is not a multiple of 2, you can have such effect with quick resize

OK, so it's not a bug.
