1.74 vs 1.75 XnConvert

I have been using 1.74 on my mac for a while, found a newer version 1.75, downloaded and installed it. Got the error "no image" when trying to convert pdfs. Downloaded Ghostscript as others have suggested, but still wouldn't work. Reinstalled version 1.74 and now it works just fine. 1.75 has a feature to it that I want to use, but since it wouldn't convert my pdfs I had to revert.

Please help.
