save as ... abort and saved

I open a jpg and want to save it as an png. I am asked weather I know that I will loose all (exif+iptc) embedded data when saving in this format and I abort/cancel the operation. but anyway the file is saved as an png.
Is this okay?

• You must abort the saving closing the warning message-box by the up / right [X] button.
- In that case, the file is not saved as PNG.
