The French version of XnConvert on the Input tab renders Hot folder... as Dossiers favoris... which could easily result in a misunderstanding of the function.

In English, the function is generally referred to as a Hot folder or Watched folder, the second better describing its function, as a folder that is monitored regularly to detect the arrival of new files which are then processed immediately.

There was a case in the past when a Dutch user misunderstood the name as indicating no more than a favourite folder, with the that result the program was entering an endless loop, causing considerable confusion to him and me.

So Dossier observé, Dossier regardé, Dossier surveillé or is there a better word?
