Thumbnail Preview PNG

Imageine a transparent PNG containing white Text / symbols.
I can set the background-color of the thunmbnail view, the preview-window and of the detail-view.
By setting a darker color in all views I can easily see the content of the PNG. However in thumbnail-view I just can see a white square, because the background of the image-area seems to be alwas white. I attached an example.
I apprechiate any help

and by enabling 'use checkerboard as background'?

As this option only exists for the picture-view it has only an effect on the preview-image but not on the thumbnails, see attachement.

you need to rebuild the thumbnail

I did as you said but nothing changed.Maybe you could try it yourself with a transparent PNG? The preview shows the chessboard background but the icons of transparent pngs still have a plain white background so you can't see anything on transparent pictures with white content.

yes sorry, the checkboard is only used for transparent SVG, not PNG 32bits

BTW I can't see SVG at all in XNVIEW, so I don't understand your previous answer...
