There has to be good reason why there are two versions, MP and Classic; taking that into consideration, if I have both installed on my Windows 7 machine, keyword-tag wise, will one version recognize whatever may have been done in the other version including the tag tree heirarchy ?
So many image organizing programs have the extremely annoying "feature" of automatically creating any tags that may already be in a file's metadata while disregarding the tag tree structure; this behavior makes me have to not only associate the proper tag, but also find and delete the one automatically created.
Thanks for reading and all help is appreciated.

Re: Using Both MP and Classic ?
XnView Classic uses only a database to store keywords; XnView MP uses XMP metadata & database, so it's not the same way to manage keywords
If you store your keywords as IPTC in the images both XnView MP and XnVie Classic will recognize them.
