Dual display (Matrox G450)
Option: Dual monitor, Use second monitor (Browser only)
Program/browser displays in Monitor 2 (right)
Fullscreen view displays on Monitor 1 (left)
Now, when I enter fullscreen view either through the context menu or by double-click, the program vanishes completely; I have to end the XnView process in task manager. If I select "Stretch over all monitors" in options, I get half the image on the secondary monitor, and the program is still accessible. Same if I move the program to the primary monitor: I get half the image in "stretch" mode. If I only use the primary monitor, fullscreen works.
Also, now when I [esc] out of fullscreen mode, I enter viewer instead of back to the browser. This is new behavior; I like the older behavior better, where closing fullscreen simply closed fullscreen.
Also, all fullscreeen functions (zoom, etc.) seem more sluggish. Is this related?
Sorry to add these issues; maybe it's just my own configuration and I'll stick with 1.74 for the time being.

Yes; this is a new problem I'm seeing in RC6. RC5 worked normally on dual displays.

Yes I have the same problem, but I figured out a workaround.
The problem is, that the original poster has probably checked both "Maximize XnView at startup" and "Start View in Fullscreen". He has opened his file manager on the second screen and doubleclicked an image.
XnView then opened a maximized view window on the second screen and right after that tried to enter fullscreen. However XnView always tries to enter fullscreen on the primary screen, that means it tried to move the maximized window from the second to the primary screen, what for some reason failed and XnView got locked.
Workaround: Uncheck "Maximize XnView at startup" if you want to view images in fullscreen when XnView is running/opened on the second screen. You must not close the the browser or view window in a maximized state either.
As long as XnView is not maximized, it happily enters fullscreen on the primary screen.
To the developers: I don't know if I should file a bug report, but maybe you read it also here. Of course the best fix would be to enable XnView to display images in fullscreen on the second screen. The current dual monitor support is no help, since, when enabled, it blanks out *both* screen in fullscreen mode and only displays half of the image as the thread starter described.
Or if this is not possible, at least put a message in the settings dialog that users with two or more screens shouldn't check "Maximize XnView at startup" and "Start View in Fullscreen" together, or maximize XnView on the second screen.
