remove metadata should be lossless

Post by thire »

I don't know anything about embedding metadata, but I guess that it should be possible to remeove metadata (eg IPTC) from a picture without saving / loosing picture quality. Removing IPTC or other metadata should be a lossless transformation like adding metadata.
(and another very minor thing: When I add no ITPC (but I add it!) to the picture, it does not check when my addition was empty or not. It says "IPTC", although there is nothing inside)

I have been wondering the same thing. Is it possible to delete meta data without separately saving the image? At least I haven't seen such function in XnView.
XnView Tweak UI - Tool to customize your XnView beyond the regular XnView options.
UI-less Settings - Documentation of all the hidden settings in XnView.
XFAM - Tool to create and customize XnView file associations.

Yeah, he must be a kind of guy as cool as the famous french actor Jean Reno! 8)

But the best: His answers to requests are all open minded and mostly positive! :D

BTW: I support this request
