Can it open an image in "browser view with selecting the image"

But that post do not have clear answer and also regards to classic version.

Is it possible open a file(image), and open in "browser mode with selecting it" .
(So I can see other files with thumbnail in browser, and the current image with preview)

I know double click to can toggle back to browser view, but will be great just open it in browser mode.
