Thumbnail view jumps to middle / bottom of folder

Hi
Every time I change image folder it opens with the green arrow in the top left corner for up a level. After I have scrolled in the window, from then on the window keeps moving to the last image, even after I have scrolled it to the top. Any ideas?
Also, in dark mode I can hardly see the scroll bars anyway..

Just investigated, if I use the scroll bar to the left of the thumbnails window I can move up and down. If I use the Magic Mpuse on a Mac and scroll up with the mouse, the thumbnail view jumps back to the bottom of the thumbnails available?

strange i've tried with Magic Mouse 2, and no problem to scroll
