Xnview Video support.. for thumbnails/playback... mp4

Hi

So strangely enough XnviewMP will do a preview for /mp4 videos I've tried.. yet all the thumbnails are empty as none get generated for .mp4 files..

and then for .mv4 files the preview won't work.. yet it will get thumbnail generated..

also the contact sheet just never worked for these..

could you please look into video files playback/thumbnail generation... I feel like the area could do with improvement, include an option to disable video preview as a toggle button.

you have no thumbnails for .mp4 files?

can confirm that the contact sheet doesn't work for videos, it just show blank white page in preview and when creating the file is also blank
xnview 0.93.1 x64 in windows 10x64

regarding the no thumbnails try checking the custom filter in Settings -> Browser - File List and make sure the "Show as thumbnail" is checked.
and yes the thumbnails generation seem need improvement, as seems there are file that cause xnview to freeze, like the one that i posted regarding short video duration. and i see some bug report regarding pdf and ppt thumbnail
