Reducing the color depth of  24-bit JPEGs to 8 colors seems to be broken, the output file has more than 8 colors.

As stated above:
Microsoft standard JPEG Tulips [Attached] --> 99986 unique colors
XnView MP 0.93 Image > Change color depth... -8 -->Output has 8 unique colors 
 
XnConvert 1.77 Actions > Change color depth -8 -->Output has 9155 unique colors

Attached, Number of colors shown as 78309...
Retested 1.80 32-bit ZIP on Windows using these settings:
Reducing color depth using XnView MP 0.93 Image > Reduce color depth... with similar settings produces the expected 8 colors.
Am I missing something or is there a bug in XnConvert?
