Missing checkbox on thumbnails to distinguish checked from selected files

Hello,

I just reinstalled my computer and I am now using XnView V 2.48. It look like the checkbox that was on the image thumbnails, that allowed a dictinction between selected and checked files, is not here anymore. I miss it a lot since thanks to it I can easily preserve a set of images before a batch tratment while viewing another one, usually to know if I have to add this last one into the checked set.

Is this feature still available? Is it just hidden? If so, how can I bring it back?
