Thumbnails don't update after editing

When I make changes to images - such as using that auto-adjust procedure (I use the toolbar button), and then I save them - the thumbnails don't update all the time. Sometimes they do not update when I crop an image and save it.

Pushing the refresh button does not update the thumbnails either. Even View > Refresh Thumbnails doesn't always do it. If I double-click the image to enter View Mode, I can see my updated image, but exiting view mode back to the browser, and the thumbnails all look like I never did anything.

I can navigate to the parent directory and go back down to my photo (all jpgs) directory, and the thumbnails still are not updated.

Am I missing a setting somewhere? I've had this problem for a long time, and it seems to my memory that I've mentioned it before, but can't find my comments amoungst my posts (unless the post was about something else and I'm missing the post).

Version 0.93.1 64bits (Mar 6 2019) on Windows 7 x64.

Well, I did say the images were all jpgs; are you referring to something else?
