How can one change the display of a selected / marked thumbnail in the browser?

How can one change the display of a selected / marked thumbnail in the browser? E.g. change the blue frame, make the frame bigger, replace the blue color with another one or make the framge bigger?

I always can hardly see / find the selection. Is there another way to jump / go / see the selection?

Doesn't View > Thumbnail size enable the thumbnail to be enlarged, or am I misunderstanding?
