Split images without quality loss

Hi
Does anyone know how to use the split image tool without any quality loss?

Lets say i am cutting an images with a grid of 8x5. i usually save them as PNG, compression lvl 0, interlaced unchecked and no filters and without keeping any data (like exif and stuff).

When the job is done, i compared the images. unfortunately the cut images are slightly more blurry and that's really unfortunate especially if there is text on the photo i need to cut. The text becomes also slightly blurry and depending on the blur-level of the original image, the cut images get even worse and close to unreadable when i cut text images which were already originally blurry in the first place.

So.. yeah anyone knows how to avoid getting blurry but images with the split image tool?

If you are saving as PNG, which is lossless, with the settings you are using there is no immediately obvious explanation I can see for the blurriness you describe... On the Split dialog are you saving the ICC profile, if that is relevant?

If possible, could you post an original image and one of the split images that shows blurry text?

first of all thanks for answering.

my apologizes. i think i made a mistake. i used another software that could re-collage the split images (since i wanted a different order than the original images). looks like i compared that new collage file (made with the split images) with the original image and the new collage file is slightly more blurry.

but now i compard the single split images (before i used them with the collae software) and compared them with the original image. and they are identically regarding to quality.

so its not xnviewmp. it was that other collage software i sued (although it saved it lossless as png, too) so i accidently assumed the blurry thing happend during splitting, but in real it happend because of that other collage software.
