Hi - I'm new here. I just discovered XnView yesterday and I'm astounded at the power and flexibility of the app - especially for freeware! I may well make a donation in a couple of days when I've experimented a bit more. But in the meantime -
Is there any way to encrypt the image database? I have a few - 'sensitive' - images that are stored in an encrypted container and I don't really want them to be visible in XnView.
Thanks
J.

This should be posted in "General Support".
I am assuming you are referring to the thumbnail database as image database.
AFAIK there is no way to encrypt the database.
However you are free to move the database(s) to an encrypted drive or you can exclude the specific paths from being thumbnailed from within Xnview MP under settings->catalog.
You could even exclude anything and include just the specific path you need. In case of sensitive files this way might be better than the other way around.
