Safe to store database on cloud storage?

Hi!

I'm planning to migrate from Mac Photos to XnView MP on a Mac with the current version of the OS installed. Luckily there is hardly any metada etc. beside the metadata in the photos itself.

For Mac Photos I have read multiple strong advices to not store the database on any cloud storage service; because of the structure it might cause corruption after syncing. Would this also apply to the XnView MP database? There will be only one system connecting to this onedrive.

No, just one user.
Storing in a cloud storage account is mainly for puposes of backup.
