scanner is being initialized while move/copy-dialog comes up

hi folks.

don't know, if this is a bug in xnview or a windows-/driver-/weather-issue.
so i ask for your help here in the general support forum.


i have a scanner connected to my pc.

i dont really know, if this is a xnview issue, but since i dont use any other picture-viewer anymore, i only see this "phenomena" when using xnview.
i didnt had this with acds**, nor thumbspl*s, nor sgviewer (a tc plugin), nor irf*n-view.

every *first* time (after a xnview start), i try to move/copy a picture,
until the move/copy-dialog comes up, the scanner is initialized a short time. (makes initializing noise)

the normal way, i had with versions <1.80.1, was,
that the move/copy-dialog comes up, after pressing ALT+M/ALT+C.

nowadays, the scanner is shortly initialized and then the move/copy-dialog comes up, with a delay of 1-3 seconds.

needles to say: i didnt change anything on my system, only the xnview version :-}

i couldnt say that for sure, but: yes (i had not) :-)

the more you try/use a software, the more things you do/click/change.

so i cannot give any more definite/unambiguous information ;-(

maybe i didnt test that copy/move thing that often, so i don't remember that initializing sound...
