I just installed .95MP -- and I can't associate MP with .JPEG (jpg is ok). Its strange. In W10P->settings->choose default apps by filetype: I've set jpe and jpg to MP, JPEG is still XN-C. I can click on and receive the choices for jpeg, but only XN-C (the current setting), Paint, Paint3d, snip &sketch are displayed. I thought maybe there'd be a "choose an app" option, but no.
if i go into settings: Set defaults by app: both XN-C and MP are listed. click MP. click Manage. there are a good 30 ext visible, including jpe and jpg but JPEG is not listed.
Confounding because XN-C has no issue at all with JPEG. I'd thought maybe if I could turn off JPEG for XN-C, that'd make it available to/for MP. But that doesn't seem possible either. In previous decades I know I've messed a bit with JPEG(-2000?) type add-ins/plug-ins. This seems different.
anybody have any ideas on whats going on here and how to address it? thanks
