When I select a file thumbnail, each time the program reads something from the drive, which causes a delay. If there are a lot of files and I quickly want to scroll through the list with the keyboard keys (arrows or pageup/down), this is clearly visible. This does not seem to be noticeable if reading is from an SSD drive. But if it's a HDD or access occurs through a local network, then the delay is very annoying.
I switched to MP a few months ago, and before that I will use Classic version, if I am not mistaken, 1.99.6. I remember exactly that there was no such problem.
I configured the caching of the thumbnails, sort of right. I also changed all the settings, which, as it seemed to me, could influence this.
I forgot to write that I'm not using Info pane -> Preview
Slow speed when moving between thumbnails with the keyboard within browser.

Re: Slow speed when moving between thumbnails with the keyboard within browser.
If there are several hundred images or even more in the folder and we want to quickly move using the keyboard, then this is noticeable. Scrolling is sometimes very uneven. I think the degree of unevenness depends on the size of the image that the program is trying to read. It would be nice if, with the preview disabled, resources would not go into this.
Now I’m faced with the fact that after optimizing the settings, in search of a solution, the program began to crash stably in the process of creating thumbnails, when we add a folder with a large number of images (via Add folder). Even after reinstalling, the problem could not be solved - I sent the dump file through the pop-up window

I turned off the preview panel. Only three panels left - Titlebar, Filelist toolbar and Status bar. I did not write off the username, only the email address
