Preview of text files?

I've noticed that XnViewMP displays text in the preview frame when the file extension is "txt". Is there a way to customize such that that a user can designate other file extensions that contain text?

Go to
Tools, Settings, (Browser), File list, Custom filter
In this panel, see the line named "Text"
I think "Visible", "Show ... " etc are already enabled
In the last column (extensions), you can add other file extensions ( like xml, ini, log, bat ...)
