How do I use XnView with Photos
Sorry, really basic question but the pathway to Photos seems to be blocked, there is a little minus sign next to it. I am running on OS Catalina. Thought I'd use lockdown to sort my photos but can't even get past first base.

I hope so. All my photos are stored in Apple Photos or iPhotos. I want to use XnView to tag and sort them, but I don’t understand how to do this. My Photos library won’t open in XnView, there i a little minus next to it. Even things I can open, like oldiPhotos libraries, don’t show me actual pictures.

A screenshot if you could make one and post it as an attachment might help...GrumpyOldLady wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2020 2:34 pm I hope so. All my photos are stored in Apple Photos or iPhotos. This is what I get when I put in the Photos library I want to use. I am probably doing something really stupid but can't figure out what. Thanks for looking.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I doubt if it is really stupid at all. It SOUNDS like a permissions issue and I have had similar on Windows with files and folders
But I have no idea of how to change things on Apple products so hopefully someone can add some direction for you to follow
