Categories in search window

I use categories to tag all kinds of things about pictures, so I have a ton of categories (dozens? hundreds! and hierarchical, of course). Currently using the search window when you try to add categories to search for, you get a big scroll down menu with all hierarchies expanded. Needless to say finding any category if it's somewhere in the middle, or possibly somewhere in a hierarchy can be rather cumbersome (scroll, scroll, scroll!). It'd be nice if the search window there would just let you type category names with suggestions (much like when you search categories while assigning them to an image), or have a type input to filter that long list.

I support this suggestion. I have also a huge number of categories (hierarchical)
