How to use Cursor Right/Left
I recently upgraded from 1.7 something (I can't locate the old version number anymore) to 1.80.2 and the feature with which I'm concerned doesn't seem to work for me with either version. In Options>View>Keyboard/Mouse, if I set Cursor Left/Right to go to Previous/Next file, I can't figure out how to make it work. Whether I hold the left mouse-button down and move the cursor to the left or right margin or whether I don't hold the button down and move the cursor, nothing happens. What am doing wrong?
Then, short of using a mouse/keyboard combination or carefully aiming at and clicking the back and forward buttons on the toolbar, there seems to be no way of using only the mouse to both change the view size and to navigate to the next file. Following some advice I found in this forum, I currently have the mouse wheel set to scroll to the next file and then use Control + mouse-scroll to change the viewed size, but that does involve a mouse/keyboard combination. It would certainly be nice if one could somehow both change the size and navigate using only undirected mouse funcions.
I think you miss this option - View > Fullscreen > Enable navigation with... - it's disabled by default now and also a bit changed.KRH wrote:Then, short of using a mouse/keyboard combination or carefully aiming at and clicking the back and forward buttons on the toolbar, there seems to be no way of using only the mouse to both change the view size and to navigate to the next file. However, you can switch images and zoom with a mouse also without that feature - switch images with mouse wheel and zoom with LMB (or RMB) and wheel.
LMB/RMB = left/right mouse button
No, that option is enabled, carried over from my last installation.Dreamer wrote: think you miss this option - View > Fullscreen > Enable navigation with... - it's disabled by default now and also a bit changed.
Beautiful, exactly what I was looking for! Thankyou! However, you can switch images and zoom with a mouse also without that feature - switch images with mouse wheel and zoom with LMB (or RMB) and wheel.

You're welcome. There are more new "hidden" features:KRH wrote:Beautiful, exactly what I was looking for! Thankyou! However, you can switch images and zoom with a mouse also without that feature - switch images with mouse wheel and zoom with LMB (or RMB) and wheel.
LMB/RMB = left/right mouse button
LMB+MMB (and RMB+MMB) - lock zoom
LMB+RMB (and RMB+LMB) - reset zoom
That one doesn't work for me. I wish it did. Are there any settings that can be configured to make it work?marsh wrote:Other hidden feature:
Pressing LMB and RMB at same time fits image to window/screen.
Edit: Oops! Yeah, it does work. Thanks.
Edit 2: I've discovered that disabling mouse-navigation in full-screen mode allows it to work there, also. That works out for me because I can still navigate to the next image with the scroll button or zoom with with RMB + scroll.
Edit3: RMB + LMB didn't work, then it worked, now it doesn't work again. The program seems to be unstable on my particular Win98 system (see my other post).
I'm afraid that doesn't do anything at all. Besides, I try to avoid using the keyboard in order to keep my left hand free for coffee and donuts. I guess, though, that I just let go of the mouse long enough to hit the "/" key without putting down my coffee.Dreamer wrote:try to use just LMB+"X" - RMB+"X" is a bit buggy...
Then you can use also the context menu...KRH wrote:I'm afraid that doesn't do anything at all. Besides, I try to avoid using the keyboard in order to keep my left hand free for coffee and donuts. What do you mean? LMB+MMB / LMB+RMB?I'm afraid that doesn't do anything at all.
LMB+MMB is lock zoom - when you zoom in and switch to the next image...
LMB+RMB is "reset zoom" - try to zoom in and then use it...
Ok. Yes, I see how that works. It maintains the same degree of zoom for all images.LMB+MMB is lock zoom - when you zoom in and switch to the next image...
As far as I can see, in a maximized view, this does nothing (what should I see happening?). In a "resized" view, however, it fits the window to the image, for which I am grateful.LMB+RMB is "reset zoom" - try to zoom in and then use it...
Right, it's the same as this:KRH wrote:As far as I can see, in a maximized view, this does nothing (what should I see happening?). In a "resized" view, however, it fits the window to the image, for which I am grateful.LMB+RMB is "reset zoom" - try to zoom in and then use it...
