Rotating images make them expand
I am a new user, using a Mac. When I rotate thumbnails and then open the image it is too large to fit the window and only shows about a third of the image. If I open an image and then rotate it, the same happens. This did NOT happen when I first started using the software. What have I done wrong??

Re: Rotating images make them expand
I have gone to View......Preview.......Auto Image Size and then tried all six alternatives. Nothing altered!

Try going into SETTINGS / VIEW and make sure that the reset is checked on the view tab

When you say "SETTINGS" do you mean the menu bar at the top of the page (File, Edit, View, etc....) or is there a settings elsewhere? In the View on the menu bar there is no "Reset" in the menu.

The Tools menu has Open, Open with, Search, Search similar files, Capture, Change Timestamp, etc...... There is no "Settings". The F12 key merely operates sound, even when pressed in conjunction with other buttons. I am on a Mac. Does that make a difference?

Rick is referring I think to, in the viewer, on the menu, Tools > Settings > View -- View tab.Rick wrote: Thu Apr 30, 2020 1:35 pm Try going into SETTINGS / VIEW and make sure that the reset is checked on the view tab
There are two settings on that tab that relate to 'Auto image size' which might possibly be relevant...
Edit:
The same settings are also accessible from the browser menu, and the shortcut key (in Windows and Linux, at least) is F12.

Thank you to Pierre, Rick and Cday, I have fixed it. Sorry that I was so slow in catching on.
