Rotating problem
My english is not very well, so sorry.
This bug with rotating images and dont saving result just pissed me off to delete XnView MP and return to Xnview Classic. Simple *.jpg images from smartphone. Rotate and save. But that programm do it as it want. Sometimes it saves the result, sometimes not. At the same time, it shows that the saving process is completed. I go to the next image, go back - nothing has been saved. The last straw was the next. I rotated the image and saved it.
XnView MP show me it in right position. But all another programm like Paint and =D XnViewClassic show me this image unchanging. I do not know what your program saves, but seems only XnView MP see it.

Re: Rotating problem
Same here.
I am currently correcting the rotation of a large number of JPEGs. They were input from an old camera about 10 years ago, and need to be rotated 90 degrees clockwise. The only way I have found to consistently rotate them is to doubleclick the thumbnail to show the enlarged image, rotate right using the rotation icons, save using flower-S, and "X" the enlarged image. This is inconvenient and time consuming.
If I try stepping through the images using the arrows on the enlarged image viewer and rotating/saving each image, the images do not get saved. There are also other methods which do not work. For example, rotating and saving the thumbnails.
I have looked far and wide for a good photo management tool, and XnView is the best. Thank you!
I am using:
iMac with 16GB memory
macOS Catalina
XnView MP 0.96.2 64bits (May 7 2020)

Re: Rotating problem
Please respond to my 5/2/20 post.
Re: Rotating problem
That does not work at all. The rotation is not saved to the image file. Perhaps this is an issue only with macOS.
Re: Rotating problem
I can send several images. How do I send them?
Re: Rotating problem
Thanks! Done!
Re: Rotating problem
The acceptable workaround was to disable "Use embedded thumbnail".
