Hi, I'm sure this is a setting I have not figured out yet, or I have done something wrong I would love some help, please.
Here is my problem:
I have.dng files. they are saved in one folder.
If I open this folder in XnView MP it tells me the size of the file is width384 and height 252. which is wrong this is a 24bit image file close to 50mb. when I try to convert this file using the batch converter that is built-in to convert straight over to .tif file. everything becomes blocky and artifacts everywhere. because of this wired size difference.
If I open up the same file in Adobe Bridge, it tells me the is width 5292 height 3950. if I use the XnConverter and do the same conversion straight over to .tif everything is normal. and I can now continue my workflow as normal.
I can keep on using XnConvert. but I would like to be able to use the XnView program since I can make file dir. and batch convert, rename the files to the right places in one single program.
I cannot for the life of me find any settings that will give XnViewMP the right values of my files.
I would be very grateful if someone could help me out with this.

Please check in the viewer the File > Format settings... > Read tab -- Camera RAW options.

Re: Camera RAW - Images are tiny and file sizes are showing wrong info
Thank you for a quick reply.
I must still be missing something.
when XnViewMP first opens up, it's in Browser "mode" I assume that's the viewer?
Under the >file tab I cannot find any \Format settings. I would highly appreciate it if you could feed me it with a t-spoon. lol.
I have looked through >file >edit> View >Tools >Create and >Help I just can't find anything that resembles format settings, read tab, camera raw.
thank you again. I'm on WIndows don't know if that makes a difference?

No, it's the Browser:spvp wrote: Wed Aug 26, 2020 1:27 pm when XnViewMP first opens up, it's in Browser "mode" I assume that's the viewer?
If you double-click on an image file in the browser, it should open in the viewer (provided it is a file type supported in your XnView MP as configured), you should then see File > Format settings...
