Compare tool suggestions

Post by Gwenael Q. »

Hello,

1 - When comparing images side by side (Tools > Compare...) an useful feature that is missing is the ability to move an image alone.

Often, in a serie of images, the main subject is not located in the exact same. Its helps a lot, when comparing images, to be able to center it in each frame. Then synchonized zooming and paning is used to compare. If implemented, since zoom for single image is ctrl+scroll, pan for a single one could be ctrl+mouse left button drag

2 - In XnviewMP I really appreciate a lot the quick view at zoom 100% that a mouse left button drag allows in browser (preview window) and view mode. Please consider allowing that same quick view (synchronized for all images) in compare tool. It could be done by pressing the mouse wheel.

3 - If user had the possibility to set its own keyboard/mouse interface things would be even better.

Thank you for listening

Hello Pierre

Perhaps I'm missing something obvious but seems to me that ctrl only allows individual zooming, not individual panning. Am I wrong ?

Thank you for the good work !
