Search for images without location data

is there a way to find images without location data down a directory tree?

Yeah

First, display headers in browser view : View, Sort by, Show Headers

Then, if GPS columns are out of the visible area, show details : View, View as, Details
If GPS data are not shown, right-click on a header and enable the fields you want to
You can also drag headers of GPS data columns to bring them to the left

Now, a click on "longitude" header will sort photos on this criteria so you can easily see and count the ones where data are missing

To show photos of subfolders : View, Show files in subfolders
To get back thumbnails : View, View as, Thumbnails and captions

You can also use Overlay icons : Settings, Thumbnails, Overlay icons, (enable gps)
