Error when installing XnView MP 0.98 in MacBook Air with m1

Post by ecocalvin »

When I try to install the software downloaded from this website, there is a message prompted saying that this application need to be updated and advise me to contact the developer, any clue on this? Or because m1 is not supported?

Hi,

XnView MP MacOSX
Version 0.98.0 64bits (Dec 11 2020)

is running fine on my M1 MacBook Pro. I hab problems with rosetta 2 before and reinstalled macOS after this everything is running as it should. Might be worth a try.

But I would really love to see a native version of XnViewMP. I Try to keep the programs relying on rosetta to e minimum...

Greetings

Thanks for sharing your experience on installing the software. Finally I tried to change the security and privacy setting and it has an option for me to allow the software force to open and then it's done. Not sure it is the issue for Big Sur but I can finally use the software now.

Forget to mention that I am using the 0.98 version
