Unable to import adjusted image into design software
Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me with this issue?
I am just making a few simple enhanced colour adjustments to an image in XNView MP & then save the image but the saved image won't then import or copy & paste into my design software (Flexi 19). The original will.
I'm presuming this must be something to do with the way it is saving but I'm clueless as to what it is & would appreciate some help.
Thanks

What file format is the original image and what file format is the saved image?Myles 55 wrote: Tue Jan 12, 2021 1:47 pm I am just making a few simple enhanced colour adjustments to an image in XNView MP & then save the image but the saved image won't then import or copy & paste into my design software (Flexi 19). You may have to enable viewing file extensions to see that, if you are using Windows and need help with that please search online for your version.

Hi cday, it's jpeg & saving as jpeg, that's what is confusing me!

Strange, in case you haven't found it already, in XnView MP file save settings are rather hidden, due to a technical limitation, in File > Format settings... in the viewer, I've no immediate idea what the problem could be though...Myles 55 wrote: Tue Jan 12, 2021 2:36 pm Hi cday, it's jpeg & saving as jpeg, that's what is confusing me!
Both JPEG files with the same .jpeg (or .jpg) extensions, you can see the extensions?
Nothing unusual in the filenames, such as foreign accents which might possibly upset Flexi 19?
Does the saved JPEG file open normally in other viewing software?

Yes, strange indeed!
Yes I found the save settings but hasn't helped unfortunately.
Both files appear to be more or less identical & definitely not a filename issue.
I've just managed to copy & paste it into Word so maybe it's a Flexi issue but never had an issue with Flexi like this in 17 years!!
I attach a screenshot of the properties page here & notice that the amended file doesn't have an "EXIF" tab, Is that relevent?

Hi Pierre, sorry I only just saw your response.
How can I send them? I'd rather send them privately if I can as it is someone's wedding photo & I wouldn't want to make it public without their permission.

Re: Unable to import adjusted image into design software
the only difference is EXIF metadata, if you remove them with Metadata>Clean?

Sorry I don't understand what you are saying.
Are you suggesting I remove the EXIF Metadata & if so how do I do that?

Maybe I have the wrong version but I don't have an option of metadata in tools nor clean
