Change or delete keywords on multiple images

Post by simonides »

Please forgive a question from a complete newcomer to XnView MP on Windows 10. I've a number of image files with keywords. I can use the Search field to display images containing a particular keyword. Individually, I can change the keyword by using CTRL-I to see the keyword tab in the IPTCM-IIM window and then add the new keyword and delete the old one (eg. change "apple" to "pear" or delete "apple") but how can I make a similar change on multiple images?

You can use the categories pane to uncheck/check keywords

Yes, from the Categories Filter I can either select or not select a Category and I can rightclick the category and rename it (eg. from 'apples' to 'pears') but that's not writing anything to image file. What I want to do is change the metadata in multiple files eg. from 'apples' to 'pears' for 100, 10000 or 100000 images. Can XnView do that?

not renaming a keyword in the category pane, but unselecting 'apples' & selecting 'pears' for a group of files
