It is not possible to rename photos by the "shot date"

Post by Teutos »

Hallo,
the following problem occured:
if i will rename my photos by the shot date: F2 --> Name-Template: "{Creation Date [Y-m-d_HMS]}" is NOT the photo shot date (the date, where the photo is recorded).
The "creation date" is shown as the 1st date in XnView under an image, the "photo shot date" is shown as the 2nd date under an image in XnView.
To sort photos by name it is importend to rename e.g. handy-photos by the correct "photo shot date".
Is it possible to integrate?

I use the Version 0.96.5 64bits (Aug 17 2020)
1. XnView-Folder: C:\Program Files\XnViewMP
2. My Home Folder: C:\Users\Andreas
3. Windows Folder: C:\Windows

Thanks for this great software, very quick and easy to use!
Best regards
Andreas

Yes, it will work with "{EXIF:Date Taken [Y-m-d_H-M-S]}".
