Thumbnail Generation Aspect

Hi, I am seeing an issue where thumbnail generation is not respecting whether the image is vertical or horizontal, so it's stretching a vertical into horizontal shape, doesn't do it on all photos, I'm wondering why and if it's a bug? Makes it really hard to see your photos.

example, these are all vertical phone photos, if I open them in XnView and rotate them and save it fixes it

May be something to do with the exif of your phone (brand-model?)

or the setting in XnView (here are mine, everything is fine for me)

Thanks, yeah it might just not like my phone by the looks of it, is it windows generating the thumbnails or XnView in explorer?

XnView doesn't generate thumbnails for windows explorer
