Context menu - Way to hide or delete Categories?

I never use categories, but they bother me as whenever i use the context menu to click properties or add to favorites if for a moment the mouse rests on "categories" a huge menu that fills the screen pops up

I would like to delete the categories, or just hide this menu so it never bothers me again

Is there some way to do it?

VIEW / DATA PANE and uncheck it

You can also shorten the categories list :
- Select a picture .
- At the top of the categories pane, open the drop down menu, select Categories management, Delete all

If one wants to create a first category, use "categories filter" pane, right click, New category...
