xnview.ini gone

I opened XnViewMP this morning and it had reset to the default state. When I looked at the xnview.ini file, it had a date of today and looks to have been newly created. I had not used XnView in a couple of days, and the app didn't crash or do anything strange the last time I used it. Is there a reason why the ini file would suddenly dissapear?
