in browser or viewer mode? But SPACE is not the shortcut, it's Ctrl+T or do you have changed it?

But @M-a-v is right, in previous versions, spacebar has tagged a file, meaning that it triggered the checkbox.xnview wrote: Fri May 07, 2021 7:10 am in browser or viewer mode? But SPACE is not the shortcut, it's Ctrl+T or do you have changed it?

In Browser mode, sorry.xnview wrote: Fri May 07, 2021 7:10 am in browser or viewer mode? But SPACE is not the shortcut, it's Ctrl+T or do you have changed it?
In view mode the Ctrl+T works fine.
Re: MP 0.98.3 - Tagging a image via Spacebar does nothing.
Ctrl+T too? You had 0.98.2, because SPACE doesn't tag file in 0.98.2

Oh no no, sorry. I think I confused things a bit..xnview wrote: Sun May 09, 2021 12:41 pmCtrl+T too? You had 0.98.2, because SPACE doesn't tag file in 0.98.2

In 0.98.2, Browse mode.. on a selected thumbnail.. if you pressed SPACE, it would tag (check box) the thumbnail.
In 0.98.3, Browse mode.. on a selected thumbnail.. SPACE does nothing.
In 0.98.3 (and 0.98.2), From the menu (View > Tag > Tag current) it works as it should.
Thou this is a bit tedious to do, it does work. But using the Space bar to tag and untag files is much easier

FYI.. I have only changed 1 Shortcut, for Browser mode.. Ctrl+T to Change timestamp

Strange, I have not that with 0.98.2M-a-v wrote: Mon May 10, 2021 5:55 am In 0.98.2, Browse mode.. on a selected thumbnail.. if you pressed SPACE, it would tag (check box) the thumbnail.

Re: MP 0.98.3 - Tagging a image via Spacebar does nothing.
Maybe the settings are left over from an old version on XnView... I have been using it for quite some time.
Wanted to test something.. So I went through and reset all the shortcuts to default. Tested it.. Ctrl+T works fine for Tag Current
I set the shortcut for Tag Current to SPACE.. Tested it.. not working.
Closed and reopened the program.. Tested it again.. not working.
It says it's set for SPACE, but it does nothing..
Maybe SPACE is no longer valid for a shortcut key...

FYI.. still running 0.98.3

SPACE is used by default, you need to change settings>interface>keyboard - SPACE

Hi, the dot "." works very well. - And it's the same shortcut like Apple/Fotos. I enjoy using xnview - it offers such a lot of functions! Thanks a lot!
Re: MP 0.98.3 - Tagging a image via Spacebar does nothing.
Please make it so SPACE can be used to tag images again. I used that all the time. Now I can't get it to work no matter what I pick under settings>interface>keyboard>SPACE
(XnView MP Windows Version 0.98.4 64bits (May 28 2021))

Re: MP 0.98.3 - Tagging a image via Spacebar does nothing.
Sorry, I don't understand the question. I'm not familiar with "categories". I'm trying to tag images in the file list. If I set the shortcut for "tag current" to "Ctrl+T", pressing Ctrl+T applies a checkmark to the selected file. If I set it to "Space", pressing spacebar does nothing.xnview wrote: Sat Jun 12, 2021 1:08 pmin category pane?bunghead wrote: Sat Jun 12, 2021 10:02 amPlease make it so SPACE can be used to tag images again. Re: MP 0.98.3 - Tagging a image via Spacebar does nothing.
Same problem for me here, 0.98.4.. Space no longer works to tag files, in Browser or Fullscreen.
In 0.97 it works in Browser mode OK, but will not tag/untag in Fullscreen.
