I have rebuilt thumbnails over and over, but the thumbnails are incorrect in a folder of two thousand images. I am showing duplicates but double clicking the duplicates shows other duplicate images.
Why does rebuilding thumbnails not work?

What the heck is wrong w thumbnail views? Thumbnails do not show the correct image if you double click them.

Anyone know where older versions of XnViewMP, there is something wrong w thumbnails in .98.4?

Can you try to select two or three couples of thumbnails, and click "View, Update catalog from files"... ?

View/Update catalogue & Rebuild Thumbnails seemed to have corrected the double thumbnails. I don't understand as I had Rebuilt Thumbnails many times this weekend w no results. But combining the two actions seems to have corrected the double issue. No need to switch to lower version now. Thank you.

Synchronize Folders removes all the orphaned files.
