XnView MP 0.99.0 doesn't show X3F-Files
Hello,
i'm running XnView on actual OpenSuSE-Tumbleweed-Linux. Everything was fine till today:
Today i updated my older 0.98-version of xnview mp to version 0.99.0. It starts as usual, but now it doesn't show X3F-Files, produced from Sigma-SD14, SD15, SD1M-cameras. The older versions didn't have this problem, thy showed the X3F-pics.
Is this a bug or a feature?
Would be very nice, if XnView 0.99.0 could be brought to the same functions as the earlier versions.
Thanks a lot,
bye
Michael

right, this version use new RAW processor so i need to check...
As workaround, you can disable it in xnview.ini

thanks, with this workaround it works again.
I guess the new libraw will be more powerful. Where can I track that this X3F issue is no longer present by default?
Bye

Re: XnView MP 0.99.0 doesn't show X3F-Files
Hello,
thank you for Your fast response.
In XnViewMP 0.99.1 the problem is partially fixed. Photos from a Sigma SD1Merrill are shown perfect, while Photos from a Sigma SD14 are not shown, trying to view ends with a error "Error opening file".
For demonstration-purposes i have copied two pics to my website. As this a raw-pics, the are pretty big... Both files are o.k. I tested them in the Sigma-Raw-Developer Sigma Photo Pro 5, V 5.53. Download them via "Right-Click" and "Save as".
You can find them on
https://michelsburg.eu/diesunddas/diver ... w/SD1M.X3F
and
https://michelsburg.eu/diesunddas/diver ... w/SD14.X3F
The SD1M-File works perfect, the SD14-File doesn't.
By the way, i tested some gifs. In 0.99.0 they didn't run as loop. Now they work perfect too.
Good work. Thanks a lot.
Bye from Bavaria/Germany

Re: XnView MP 0.99.0 doesn't show X3F-Files
Hi,
the problem is, that xnview shows the x3f-files from Sigma SD1M perfectly, but doesn't show the x3f-files from the SD14. Both, SD1M and SD14, are DSLRs from Sigma (https://www.sigmaphoto.com).
In earlier versions of xnview the pictures of both cameras worked without problem.
Bye
