Large GIF zooming

Back in classic there was an issue with zooming of a large gif being reduced in size by a smaller window size than the gif which would cause it to produce very jagged lines. This was fixed by the addition of "For Animated GIF" under high quality zoom in view settings. This option doesn't appear to exist anymore in XnView MP but the problem does.

Is there a new solution for this since the fix was removed?

there was never such option, you would like to have high zoom quality even for GIF playback, right?
