Space doesn't work as shortcut key

I tried setting the spacebar to start/stop animation, but it won't work. I've set Interface > Keyboard > SPACE to "No action" with no change. Searching the forum, I see others have reported the same problem, only with different actions, in the past, of which at least one was fixed, so not sure if this is related or a different issue. Starting/stopping the animation manually through the menu works, so it's definitely an issue of the shortcut key not working. In case it matters, this is with animated .webp files.

Also, I may have mentioned this before, but it would be tremendously helpful to be able to search the keyboard shortcuts for both a key and function.

it works here, Interface>Keyboard>SPACE -> no action, and SPACE for cmd_animation in viewer mode

It's working for me now, too. It appears the keyboard settings are only applied on application restart. I tried both settings individually and they both continue working the way they were until restarting XnViewMP.
