slow / freeze when browse samba share in ubuntu

When I tried to open a picture from samba share in ubuntu, the xnview is very slow and it freeze my computer.
I belive is because of gvfs connection which xnview try to establish, instead of using local samba connection.

For pictures from local hdd, it is very fast.
