Thanks for the screencast, could you show me the XMP tab of input and output file? Do you have enabled 'Settings>Metadata>Import XMP subject...'?
And please resend me the .xbs?

Thanks for the reply. I DON'T have "Import XMP Subject ..." checked as that imports vast amounts of keywords and I do not want that at all. Besides, I found that checking or unchecking that made no difference

I am not sure what you want. Edit XMP? There is nothing in there. There is data in Edit IPTC under Keywords

sorry i means the XMP from Info tab when you select a file in browser
