You can set the transparent index in option/Write/Gif, or use Edit/Edit colormap to set the transparent color.

OK, thanks for your help

Other question:
Can I transform a color into transparent usning an average?

In exmaple FFFFFF ± 10% will transform colors near to white in white and then white into transparent

Some hope? thanks

:) Hello Pierre !

- I think this is a very good idea, because currently when applying the transparency from the palette, the colours close of the stated "transparent" remain, and this leads to get undesirable bunches of pixels / artifacts which make a so ugly image the most times…

- It should be great to have such a function, IMHO.

 Kind regards,

Such a function would be really useful. The function should be somthing like "Replace colour A +/-tolerance with colour B" .

Setting transparency to colour "B" should remain a second and separate step, though (we have this, already).

A good idea, really ! I support that proposal. Many times, I'm bound to decrease the colours amount by hand to avoid such issues, then the final picture is much less nice :(
