Hello,
When importing my photos with the "Import and Sort" function I try to create folders and rename these photos.
Here is the folder creation command used:
"yyyy/yyyy_MM_dd"
Here is the file renaming command used:
"{Modified Date [Y-m-d]} {Comment} ##"
Everything seems to be correct except the numbering function.
I would like to restart a new file numbering with each new folder. This is not currently the case.
For example, if the last file number in a folder is "10", the new file number in the next folder will be "11".
How can I start at "01" for each new folder?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Numbering during importation
Thank you for your request, Gator38. In "Import and sort" dialog there is a checkbox "# enumerator per folder". Please activate this checkbox and it's supposed to work as expected, then.
Re: Numbering during importation
Hello,
In fact I didn't have the last version of Xnview MP.
Now I have installed the last one : XnView MP Windows Version 0.99.7 64bits (Jan 13 2022).
Now I can activate this great option : "# enumerator per folder".
I works very well except that the numbering system takes files in alphabetical order. If the file names are not in the chronological order the numbering is not in the chronological order. I have to rename my file first.
It's not a big deal but if there is a clever way to do this I will be happy to learn it!
Thank you Helmut!!!
Thank you all!!!
Regards.

Re: Numbering during importation
Thank you very much for getting back, Gator38. Good to read that my above suggestion helped.

I'm not sure whether there's some configuration or trick to achieve this.Gator38 wrote: Sun Apr 24, 2022 12:11 pm... Re: Numbering during importation
Hello,
It's not really important, now I found a way to process my photos.
The result is correct.
XnviewMP is now part of my "toolbox" for treatment of my photos.
Regards.
